In the spring of 2016, construction began on 34 wind turbines Zeeland, which can supply more than 100,000 households with green electricity. This wind farm (Krammer) is unique because it is built on a primary water barrier. The Enercon E-115 wind turbines are equipped with a technology that temporarily shuts down the wind turbines when birds or bats are detected, or when cast shadow occurs in homes.
In total, the Krammer wind farm will produce 350,000 Megawatt hours (MWh) annually. Each wind turbine will generate 3 MW. The number 115 refers to the rotor blade diameter of 115.7 metres. The axis height of the wind turbine is 122 metres and the tip height about 180 metres. The wind farm was completed at the end of March 2019.
Large materials and valuable value are often used in the construction of these types of sustainable wind farms. Kooi was present during the construction of the wind farm to secure the construction site. This was done to prevent the theft of valuable building materials and to keep unwanted visitors off the site. Without putting anyone at risk, we analysed the situation remotely with our camera security systems connected 24/7 to our PAC-certified Kooi Alarm Center.
We monitored the development processes with our expertise in the field of site design, surveillance and related follow-up. In this way, we create places that you can leave behind with peace of mind. Places where no one should be looking for anything. So the work can continue the following day.
